Medical Camp @ Cheras

MAIUG in association with MediAssist4U organized a one day free medical camp at the Hall of St Francis of Assisi Church, Cheras on the of 12th of June 2016 as part of Corporate Social Responsibility programme. The health camp was organized with objective to provide free health check up on lifestyle related diseases and consultation based on patients’ needs. The 16 member team including 1 skin specialist, 4 general practitioners, 2 phlebotomist, 1 sonologist and 1 echocardiologist arrive at 7.00am and served 154 people. We carried out screening for Body Mass Index (BMI), blood pressure, blood test for cholesterol and diabetic studies, eyes, skin, electrocardiogram (ECG), Echocardiogram (Echo) and Ultrasound on site. We manage to conclude 150 blood test, 71 ECG’s and 76 Echocardiograms and Ultrasounds. The National Transplant Centre of Malaysia also took part in the event to spread the awareness on organ donations. The camp ended at 5.45pm.
